Yes, I have a point, I am getting to it. The point is, that many sites have old information and you can only trust the most recent data about search engines. So make the most of your seo efforts and stay in contact with the seo community!

Here is a great place to do that, check out the SEO Chat Forums!

A keyword is simply a single word or a short phrase that is relevant to your web site or blog that you are trying to promote. If you are running a web hosting site and are looking for keywords you may come up with terms like: website hosting, shared hosting, cheap hosting accounts and so on.

The keywords are usually used for the Meta Tags on a site and also for links to the site, you may make a link like this using your own keywords SEO Tips which is much better than a normal link like this one: http://viewseo.com

Using keywords on a link like this is a great way to get search engines to focus on your site in relationship to the keywords.

So what it all breaks down to is this, if you want to be found in search results when somebody searches “dogs” you need to start building links on other sites, that link back to your site, using “dogs” as the text of your links.
